Since, it is the Smartphone frenzy market out there in the tech world so every tech giant is trying frantically to jump into the cellphone market. Some have been successful like Google with their ever increasing Android power phones but some have not been dazzling as far as Smartphone market is considered.
Lately, reports have been floating on the web world and blogs that social networking giant Facebook is planning to launch their version of the Smartphone. But on Monday, the reports were denied by the Facebook in a press release in which they said although Facebook is exploring and expanding in the mobile phone sector but as far as own phone is considered they are not planning to build one.
Facebook has a user base of almost more than 500 Million people and the company has launched various applications that run on a number of mobile phones and provide social networking experience to the users. According to Jaime, who is a spokesperson for the Facebook, company’s current project list includes deeper and more compatible integration with the manufacturers of the Smartphones.
The rumor of a Facebook phone was floated by the website TechCrunch.com which brought into notice that Facebook is working on dedicated software for a phone and also in negotiation with a cellphone manufacturer company for the phone.
Facebook denial has come after a similar story of Google when they also dismissed reports of building a phone and later on went to launch their Smartphone called as Nexus One.
The press release of Facebook which has denied the launching of a phone also had in it that whenever Facebook is working on some sort of deep integration, people give it a tag of Facebook Phone which is a farfetched idea at present.
According to Facebook spokesperson, Schopflin, Facebook phone is a nice sounding and striking proclamation but building phones is what Facebook do not do at all.
The company is at present more focused on developing its mobile operating system for the Android based phones which will work on a variety of mobile phones.
